Spalted Beech Dipper/Ladle
This soup ladle/dipper was hand carved from a tree that fell here in to the creek. The wood has lovely spalting and is hard and durable. The shape capitalizes on a crook, where a branch joins the trunk, to create strength through the handle and in to the bowl. This was a very time consuming and challenging piece to carve but it was worth it!
3” bowl, 10” overall
Food Safe, Durable Hardwax Oil Finish
