Figured Deep Maple Bowl

I turned this beautiful piece of maple from a tree my arborist friend took down for my neighbor. It has some beautiful curly figure and a bit of spalting. The beaded detail helps lift and define the form while the raised lip gives you something to grab on to. I think it’s especially well suited to big salads as you can dig around and mix up your ingredients easily.
